Office Pack-up

sad gray office ready for a move

It’s the last day in this office building. Next week I’ll be working remotely, like everyone in Denver, and then it’s time to set up in the new building. For whatever reason, I expect it to be kind of not great. It looks like I’ll be near a window, facing southeast over the interstate. And it looks like my spot is pretty small. I won’t know for certain until we get there.

Not that my current office is any good. I’m in the southwest corner of the 8th floor of this building, and there are great views, but only if I stand up, leave my office, and walk over to the windows. Otherwise I’m just in a big gray box with no natural light. A smaller less gray box with some light would probably be better. Might be better.

Here at the office though I’ve packed almost everything up. I shut off the 4k screen I brought in and sorted out its cables, put the company’s two terrible 1080p screens back for the movers to move, and put my fancy keyboard and mouse away. At this point I’m thinking of heading out early and working from home the remainder of the day, instead of sitting staring at these two sad-pants screens.
