I Should Go Talk To Dr. Pate

I want to graduate next semester.

Metroid!

Sam seems to have left Metroid behind! Sad! :(

P.S. I’m back!

Break Is Going Too Fast

I know it’s only the first week, but I’ve been thinking, and I don’t get a free weekend at all. Last weekend I went down to Omaha, then Kansas City on Monday. Now tomorrow I’m going up to Remsen for the weekend. All I really want right now is for Sam to get home so we can goof off and not do anything important. I’ll be working next week, however, and then it’s off to Colorado. That should be fun and all, but in the back of my mind I’ll still be thinking about going back to class for the whole damn week.

Speaking of classes, here are my grades, in case any of you care:
ME 421 (Dynamic Systems): B
ME 436 (Heat Transfer): A
ME 441 (Fundamentals of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning): A
ME 433x (Alternative Energy Conversion): A
Music 102 (Duh): A

This brings my cumulative GPA down to a 3.90. Darn.

Merry Christmas, Everyone

Eat lots of food and be happy.

Christmas Shopping Is Done

Just in time!

Finally

It took long enough, but finals are over for another semester. I think I might even have done rather well on the test I took this morning, but I was so tired when I took it that I probably did half the problems completely wrong. I left one problem pretty much blank, but that was the only one I didn’t have any idea how to do at all.

It doesn’t matter anyway, because I’m done for a few weeks now. I just have to do all my Christmas shopping and get ready for my trip to Colorado now.

I Should Have Actually Studied

I got completely stuck on the last problem on my heat transfer final. It was about radiation exchange and I hadn’t done any of the homework problems for that chapter, so I was pretty much winging it. Whoops. First I managed to prove that 1 = 1. I guess that’s good, but it doesn’t help me solve the problem. I then proved that the radiation leaving a surface was equal to the radiation leaving a surface, which is essentially 1 = 1 again. By the time I realized how stupid I was being, I had 5 minutes left. I scribbled down some stuff, but no way in hell did I actually have enough time to solve the problem. Oh well, I think I did well on the other 80% of the test.

Firefly, Just For Dusan

Hey Dusan, since I don’t like studying I managed to rip the Firefly theme and encode it into an mp3. Here you go!

No Studying Yet!

I think that just about sums it up.

Finals Are Coming

Finals are coming, and I don’t think I care. I haven’t started studying, and I probably won’t do much studying at all anyway. How much can it help, really? I figure that if I haven’t figured it out yet I won’t figure it out, because it’s too hard to concentrate on these things that I don’t care about. I just want to get 421 done with and out of the way, and I think I understand 436 pretty well already.
