New Layout

This is the first test of my new layout. It probably takes too long to load for most people though. I love the look, but I just don’t think it will work out very well.

I’m going to run with this design for a while. It still has a lot of testing to go through. Although it displays perfectly in Internet Explorer and Mozilla, it craps on itself in Opera. I’m not sure if I should blame the Opera guys or my bad coding. I’m going to try to fix the little quirks I’m finding.

I put up the photographs and links pages, and I’m working on the archive page right now. I’d appreciate it if any of you reading this could check the site for odd things and let me know what you find using the feedback link on the right. Thanks!

Camera

Last weekend I accidentally left my digital camera at Sam’s house. He brought it along when we went bowling tonight, and I noticed that there were quite a few new pictures on it. Most of them were pretty standard; it looked like Sam took several pictures of his hamsters, and there were some pictures of trees and stuff as well. I kept them all because it’s cool to have pictures, but one close up photograph of a flower really stands out. If I had to bet on who took this picture I would put my money on Dr. John Wong, Sam’s dad.

FFVII

I’m playing Final Fantasy VII again. I just left Midgar and it took the longest time it ever has for me: 6 hours and 18 minutes. I have better levels, better equipment, and more money than ever before as well. It’s such a fun game.

Volleyball

Watch people play volleyball!

Reflections

Reflections are cool.

King’s X was awesome awesome awesome! I got to shake all their hands and they were having a great time and stuff. It kicked ass.

He-Man

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!

“He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will arrive on Toonami on Friday, August 16 with a 90-Minute Special. Here are the details:

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will make its Cartoon Network debut at 4 PM Eastern on Friday August 16th with a 90-minute special featuring the never-before-told story of the origin of He-Man. Beginning August 23rd, the 26-episode series will begin airing on Fridays during Toonami. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will join the daily Toonami line-up
in November.

Eternia is a land of myth, sorcery and advanced technology where epic heroes accomplish remarkable deeds, strange creatures roam the land, and malevolent enemies wreak havoc. Deep within Castle Grayskull lies the repository of universal knowledge hidden long ago by the Elders of Eternia. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe defend Castle Grayskull and all of Eternia from the tyrannical Skeletor and his Evil Warriors.

On Friday August 16th, the 90-minute movie premiere will tell the story of how Prince Adam became He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe, for the very first time. The original He-Man series was introduced to television audiences in 1983 and became one of the most successful kids entertainment properties in history.

Learning Remote

I also got a learning remote so I can finally watch a DVD without trying to find 3 remote controls.

One button to get ready to watch the DVD, one button to turn everything off. It’s sweet.

Digicam

I bought a digital camera today. It’s an Olympus D-520. It’s only 2 megapixels, but it has a pretty good zoom lens on it. The lens was one of the big reasons I went for this one over a 3 megapixel camera at the same price.

It’s also quite small, which is a good thing. I’m not a fan of big bulky cameras. I figure that I didn’t get it for photography, I got it for taking pictures (trust me there is a big difference).

Anyway, here are some of the random things I took pictures of today. Enjoy!

Polaris

Well, I didn’t get the internship with Polaris. Here’s the form letter rejection I got by email:

So there you have it; no internship for Steve this summer. :-(

22

I’m 22 now. Yay!

Beth gave me a birthday T-shirt and even made cupcakes. Considering the fact that she was drunk while she made them, they turned out remarkably well. Stephanie bought me lunch and Kyle bought me supper too.

The only bad thing today was that Polaris didn’t call yet. I’d like to know whether or not I got the internship.
