Alpha

Oh wow! Windows XP can use alpha-blended cursors! It’s so cool! If only cursors showed up in screenshots. Just come over sometime and I’ll show you.

Regulator

I’m regulated
I’m regulated
…Odd times and all
Odd times and all
Regulator, no meantime at all
Time won’t wait for me

Go Devin! It’s simple, but it rocks. In other news, I didn’t do my prelab. I’ll do it tomorrow. I just can’t concentrate on squirrel cage induction motors when there’s Final Fantasy III to play. What would you do? Honestly.

EE 448

Only one more piece of homework to do this week! A prelab for EE 448, also known as crappy class from hell. I’m glad I skipped today to work on Stat instead. Woohoo.

Tomorrow I get to go to work, which is so much more fun than school it’s not funny. And there are cool people at work most of the time. The only bad thing is the damn seed I have to pick. Bleh.

Stuff

Hey all, what a night to pretend there’s no homework to do. The weather today sucked major donkey balls; I didn’t bike because of it, and had to ride crowded buses instead. Ick. The next couple weeks are gonna be kind of difficult, since end-of-the-semester projects are looming over my head. I have to start my Stat project this week, get a Powerpoint presentation ready for next Friday, complete a lab and lab report for Manufacturing, and study for my Thermodynamics test next Monday. My consolation for this is that in 4 weeks I’ll be thinking of holly and tinsel and presents and egg nog and snow and snowmen and hot chocolate and cider and sledding and not school. Sure I’ll be working, but at least there’s no homework.

Shouts out to Jessica, who I’m not sure I’ve mentioned yet on this page. She’s Kyle’s girlfriend, and so much more. She’s pretty cool, and much fun to have around.

Turkey

Oh God I’m full. So much turkey, and everything else. Ugh. Maybe I won’t eat for the next couple days.

Thanksgiving

We got out of work early today. 1:30 instead of 3:30, which was instead of 4:30. Kyle and I came in this morning at 7:00, and they were giving everyone 2 hours off. It’s very nice to be sitting at home at 2:15 in the afternoon after getting paid for 8 hours of work and doing 6. Yay.

Tomorrow’s Thanksgiving too, so that should be fun. I’m going to make sure not to eat too much today so that I’m not completely stuffed tomorrow. I want to be able to eat lots of good food.

Golf

Today I went golfing with my dad. We played 15 holes, and I wasn’t shooting too badly. The weather was just so nice; it was a perfect day to play golf. I had bean and ham soup for supper, and that’s some of the best soup ever. It’s so tasty! Alicia came over too, and we wasted time playing games and watching TV. She was supposed to be packing for her trip back home, but that didn’t happen. It’s been a good day.

Thanksgiving Break

Ah, freedom. Now I’m going to have a good time. It’s been a very long week, a very annoying week, but it’s over and I can forget about it. No homework to worry about, no tests, no class, no quizzes, et cetera.

Rush Album

Where would you rather be?
Anywhere, anywhere but here
When will the time be right?
Anytime but now

Rush is awesome. The rumor is that their next album will be released in March 2002. That’s a long time to wait, but it’s going to come eventually. I just hope so very much that they will tour, and that they will come near enough to Ames that I can go to a concert. Hell, even if they don’t come anywhere near the midwest I’ll probably find a way to see a concert. It may be my last chance.

Prelab

I spoke too soon on that “only thing is EE prelab.” The stupid piece of shit is worthless and I don’t understand it at all. I just hope someone else figured the whole damn thing out, becuase I feel like going to bed instead of finishing it.
